The message of “Struggle For A World Without Border (Afghanistan- Iran)” to the Karzar By Farkhonda, in front of the US embassy in Brussels
We women of Afghanistan have been going through one of the worst experiences of the state, social and domestic violence.
Going through 4 decades of the rule of Islamic fundamentalists who have aggressively been trying to make the violence and oppression of women legal and a normal act, has given the women of Afghanistan a full understanding of what the violence against women means.
The occupation of Afghanistan by the US and its Western allies not only has not helped the women but has also added to the problems.
At the present time they are trading women’s rights with the Taliban in order to give a share of power to them. Taliban and the US have a common interest to oppress the women. We the women of Afghanistan fully understand what the women of Iran are going through. We see the struggle of the “Campaign to fight the state, social and domestic violence against women in Iran” (Karzar) as our struggle. We believe as if even one woman is not emancipated no one is.
So we fully support the struggle of the Iranian women for their most basic rights and the struggle of women in a world scale against any forms of oppression and violence. We have a common cause and are determined to fight along with you.
