The inhumane plan of German’s government for refugees and stepping up the deportation of Afghan’ Iranian’ Iraqis and other Refugees from Germany:
Reports indicate that the hostility of the German’s government against refugees is taking new dimensions. The application of 350 thousands of refugees have been rejected last year that 80 thousands have been deported and these figures will increase even more in 2017 according to reports. As well as the refugees from Afghanistan and Iran there are those who are from Syria, Iraq, Pakistan and North Africa and Eastern Europe.
The western governments are directly responsible for creating such a situation that millions of people have to leave their home country. Germany has taken part in the alliance headed by the US to invade and bombard Afghanistan in 2001, and its forces have been and are still there since that time. Germany also has been one of the main trade partners of the Islamic regime of Iran and has played a role in stabilizing the Islamic regime of Iran a regime that has suppressed millions of people in order to continue and protect its rule. The vast majority of those who have refuged to the west and Germany had to flee the wars, killing fields, torture and prison and the economic situation caused by globalisation.
Now the German authorities claim that Afghanistan is a safe country to live in and have ordered the deportation of tens or perhaps hundreds of thousands of refugees including those from Afghanistan and Iran. From December last year several groups of Afghans, in many cases forcefully were deported. Police in the early morning went to their residents hand cuffed them as they were criminals and without letting them to contact anyone transferred them to another city and returned them to Afghanistan. This kind of treatment by the German government was countered by the protests of the many German people and the Human Rights groups. It appears that German government and its interior minister Thomas de Maiziere are working on a comprehensive plan against refugees.
1- By introducing new anti- refugee’s laws and criminalizing the refugees, German government is trying to facilitate an easier, faster and more inhumane deportation of refugees.
2- German government along with the European Union are paying some regimes to accept the deported refugees. These financial aids help the reactionary and dictatorial governments in Turkey, Afghanistan and Libya to get more corrupt and suppress even more the people.
3- German government is urging the refugees to leave and go back to their home countries in some cases by offering them a small amount of money or ‘convincing’ them with a horrible future that might be waiting for them due to the increase of political and social pressure on them.
4- Another new plan of Thomas de Maiziere is that the refugees who are caught or survived in the Mediterranean sea to be transferred to centres in North African countries and their application for asylum to be processed in those centres. This is a version of the inhumane and reactionary plan that has been used by Australian government over a decade. The refugees who want to go to Australia by the sea are transferred to the Papua New Guinea and the remote pacific island of Nauru and are put under intense mental and physical tortures. Thomas de Maiziere wants to set up these kinds of centres in Libya. The country that is run by the fundamentalists groups and according to a recent report thousands of children and girls and young women have been sexually and physically abused in the refugee centres in this country.
5- German government and the European Union are expanding Frontax ( the agency that observes the European Union borders) operation. Frontex has announced that its responsibility is to guard the borders not to save the lives of the refugees. This means that they will not take any measures to aid the refugees who are drowning. They are even trying to limit the NGO’s and charity organizations that are helping to rescue the refugees.
6- German government and media by relating many of the crimes to refugees or disproportionally magnifying the offences or crimes committed by some refugees are trying to turn the public opinion against refugees. These policies are feeding the Neo- Nazis groups and are strengthening them. According to German government figures in 2016 on average there have been 10 attacks against refugees that have led to injury of many people including children.
In such a situation the refugees are left in distress with no prospect to have a normal life in the western countries and no option to go back, but are increasingly resorting to committing suicide. For example, recently a 19 years old Afghan refugee put fire on himself in Bayern, or A 16 years old Iranian refugee hanged himself last year in Langenbach Bayern.
These are all the results of the policies of the imperialist’s system that from one side has made the life for the people in the Middle East, Asia and Africa a hell by intervening in the affair of these countries and from the other side have in fact closed their doors on refugees.
There is a need to counter these all inhumane policies and support refugees, but the solution is not to get distressed or commit suicide. The solution is neither revenge nor cooperation with the reactionary fundamentalist forces, and it is not to only think of oneself and own problem and ignore the misery that is haunting hundreds of thousands refugee at the present and in the near future. There is a need for principled untied struggle, the struggle that shows and exposes these inhuman policies produced by a criminal system. We must wage a united struggle along with the conscious and progressive people in the Germany and other western countries. This struggle can serve our cause and serve the ultimate goal of creating A World Without Border, a world in which there is no nation, no oppression and no exploitation too.
